Alex is a dedicated ICF Mental Health Coach and NDIS Psychosocial Recovery Coach with extensive experience in the field of mental health, disability and lived experience professional development. He has held the privilege of leading several ILC projects since 2017 focused on psychosocial education and training.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Alex made the move to Australia in 2013 and proudly became an Australian citizen in 2018.

A senior leader for over ten years, Alex has a long history of serving in designated lived experience roles and continues to lend personal and professional expertise towards the development of lived experience best practice framework.
He considers it a great privilege to have had the opportunity to design and facilitate some of the most prominent NDIS and mental health professional development trainings in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland supporting and reshaping the face of mental health and disability services in Australia.
Alex is committed to enhancing the professional growth of Lived Experience Professionals through high-quality coaching, supervision, and training. With experience in vocational education and training, Alex has served as an RTO trainer, TAFE teacher, workplace trainer, and designer of NDIS psychosocial skills workshops since 2014.
In 2017 Alex began providing disciple specific practice supervision and coaching for LLE workforce, LLE Leaders, managers of LLE workforce and coaching as professional practice development. With more than 5000 hours of coaching experience, Alex aims to help others develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to walk their journey of personal discovery.
Alex’s coaching approach combines professional use of intentional lived experience of mental health recovery learning with professional skills and training to offer compassionate and effective support as both a psychological coach and a lived experience practice supervisor. In addition to one-on-one coaching sessions, he also conducts workshops and group sessions, providing a collaborative space for individuals to learn and grow together.
Alex has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT through the
Alex remains an advocate for using creative play to connect with recovery learning and purposeful engagement. When not involved in the important work of coaching, he can usually be found creating intricate LEGO landscape panoramas. Alex firmly believe that laughter is essential for learning and growth. "If we aren't laughing, we aren't learning."
